History 2002: 28% Decline for Flash Market from 2000 to 2001

And another drop in sales in 2002 of 21%

As 2001 winds down, the flash memory market is solidifying and the revenue base is no longer gelatinous quicksand for suppliers, according to a recent market analysis report, Flash Suffers Weak End Market Demand; How Much Worse Will It Get? from iSuppli.

The report forecasts a revenue decline of more than 28.3% from 2000 to 2001 to reach $7.6 billion, and another drop in sales in 2002 of 20.8% despite a unit shipment forecast of about 17%, which translates to an average price decline of more than 32%.
