This upgrade comes hand in hand with the company’s vStorage APIs for Storage Awareness (VASA) provider that will enable its arrays to work with vSphere Virtual Volumes (VVols). All unified storages will be VVol capable with this update.

VMWare 8.0 compatibility provides customers with access to the latest virtualization technologies, ensuring that their storage infrastructure can support even the most demanding workloads. VMware provides support only for the devices that are listed  in the VMware Compatibility Guide. With this update, the firm’s storage products can now be integrated with VMWare virtualization environments, paving the way for performance, efficiency, and scalability.

VMware vCenter Server plug-ins extend the capabilities of vCenter Server by providing additional features and functions. Through VASA provider, the company’s storage can inform vCenter Server about their configurations, capabilities, and storage health and events. In return, VASA can deliver VM storage requirements from vCenter Server to company’s storages and ensure that the storage layer meets the requirements. Qsan VASA provider as a plug-in in VMware vCenter enables application-centric granular management and storage-policy-based management for agile, simple and efficient IT services.

As a VMware Technology Alliance Partner for more than a decade, the company has been working with VMware to develop technical solutions for key VMware integration such as VAAI, VASA, and vVols. Based on this cooperation, the firm can provide storage solutions with performance and enterprise-level functions to assist users with deploying virtual environments by building a flash-based infrastructure.
