Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity: Molecular-Scale Storage and Archiving RFI
Seeks to understand current technological landscape for RW data using DNA as storage media.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 25, 2023 at 2:01 pmThe Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) seeks information regarding molecular-scale storage and archiving.
It is investigating faster, better, cheaper ways to store data. In particular, it seeks to understand the current technological landscape for writing and reading data using DNA as the storage media. It also wants to explore the processes that need to be implemented to successfully use DNA-based tera/exabyte archives with error rates similar to or better than current storage technologies.
