Start-up IN_fusion has been created by a handful of well-known names in the storage industry, as a venture specialized in cocooning early-stage companies to be more successful, from the conception of an original idea to the IPO.

For the moment, the company operates out of the HQs of the Colorado-based Harison and California-based Strategic Research consulting companies.

The list of notables includes partners in the latter concerns: Fred Moore from Harison along with Michael Peterson and Greg Brashier from Strategic Research, as well as Tom Burniece, chairman of Ciprico, professor Rick Carlson, Dan Friedlander who founded Palindrome and Avail, Lisa Hart who spent 16 years at StorageTek, Ellen and Richie Lary, previously with Digital and Compaq, Harris Ravine, the former CEO and COB of Andataco and Bruce Thomson, co-founder and CTO of Retrieve.

The most recent additions to IN_fusion are Philip Black, who was CEO of Box Hill/Dot Hill, and Michael Gluck, a former founder and COO of Chaparral Networks.
