NTT Communications Opts for Cohesity

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT COM) has selected Cohesity DataProtect and Cohesity SmartFiles to provide data security solutions to its customers in Japan and will be offered as Wasabi Tiering for Cohesity.

This new solution helps companies solve their data management, storage, and security challenges.

Wasabi Tiering for Cohesity enables the integration of DataProtect and SmartFiles features with Wasabi Object Storage.

Specifically, it provides the following advantages in cyber resilience, data management, and data protection:

• Ransomware Remediation: Immutable snapshots help prevent ransomware from encrypting backup data, while ML-based anomaly detection can help uncover hidden threats and can play a key role in alerting customers to potential cyberattacks.
• Rapid Recovery at Scale: In the event of a cyberattack, natural disaster, or human error, fully hydrated snapshots can help user admins with the right privilege to restore data at a granular level and applications to any point in time.
• A Single, Simple, and Modern Solution for Multi-cloud Environments: Firm’s data management platform simplifies global backup and recovery by replacing multiple point products with a single solution for on-premises or multicloud backup and recovery. The platform provides organizations with the capabilities to manage and protect traditional or modern data sources all from a single, global UI.
• Scaling to Shrink Data and Storage Footprint & Non-Disruptive Upgrades: By eliminating complex and expensive on-premises forklift upgrades, organizations can scale without disruption. In addition, it can optimize storage capacity and data mobility with global variable-length de-dupe and compression to help reduce customers’ data footprints and attack surface.

Wasabi Tiering for Cohesity combines Cohesity and Wasabi to store more robust backup data at a lower cost. The solution is already adopted by a large number of companies to counter ransomware attacks.
