This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 15, 2023 at 2:00 pmQumulo, Inc. appointed Ryan Farris as VP of product and Brandon Whitelaw as VP of strategic partnerships.
They will help drive cloud innovation and strategic partnerships as the company enters a new chapter of growth and continues to help customers Scale Anywhere.
The new hires come just after the company wrapped up its FY23 with a 22% increase in customers, highlighting its understanding of the vast and dynamic storage environment.
“Qumulo just finished a record year and is well positioned for continued customer adoption and growth,” said Eric Brodersen, president and chief customer officer. “We’re adding new leadership and investing resources vs. the most important growth initiatives, while also continuing to recruit globally across multiple departments. We’re as enthusiastic as ever to help customers scale their data anywhere.”
Prior to Qumulo, Ryan Farris was the CTO at Anitian, provider of cloud security and compliance automation. His team focused on the creation of software used by enterprises seeking to accelerate the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) process. Previously, he served as the product and engineering leader at Amazon and focused on building capabilities for M&E workflows, live video streaming, edge computing, and features to improve package deliveries in the “Last Mile.”
Brandon Whitelaw also comes from Amazon where he led WW go-to-market strategy for AWS’s storage portfolio along with vertical solution development. Prior to that, he was chief of strategy for Dell‘s file and object division where he developed their hybrid multi-cloud strategy and led collaboration efforts with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.
The company’s growing leadership team, including the addition of CTO Kiran Bhageshpur and chief customer officer Eric Brodersen this year, is focused on helping customers scale anywhere as every organization has unique storage needs. To sustain and accelerate growth in EMEA, the firm also appointed Claire Thompson as VP of EMEA sales operations and WW sales enablement and Fabrice Gourlay as VP of EMEA sales.
“Enterprises today face increasingly hybrid and geographically dispersed teams and data workloads. Qumulo’s recent launch of Azure Native Qumulo Scalable File Service helps address these challenges, and offers a hint at what’s to come this year,” said Bhageshpur.
