History 2001: Micronet Finds Buyer: Fantom Drives

Ampex International had decided to shut down subsidiary MicroNet Technology.

Its Web site had also ceased, but is back on line once again, since the company has found a buyer for its assets, patents and copyrights: Fantom Drives, a division of BNL Technologies.

The 2 companies work on storage subsystems, particularly for Apple computers.

MicroNet, with recognized technological expertise, is, among other things, one of the rare companies to have designed a 1394 SAN.
