History 2001: Veritas Acquires French Prassi

Veritas Software announced its acquisition of French firm Prassi Europe SAS, a CD and DVD recording software company that dates only from September 1999.

PrimoCD technology from Prassi was already a key element of some software delivered by the Veritas desktop and mobile division.

Note that Prassi Europe is not related to Prassi Software USA, currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Adaptec.
