R&D: Data Sharing Protocol to Minimize Security and Privacy Risks of Cloud Storage in Big Data Era

Project shows that comparison of encryption and decryption file size and encryption time and decryption file time using SSGK protocols.

Springer Nature Switzerland AG. has published, in Disruptive Technologies for Big Data and Cloud Applications proceedings, an article written by S. Akila, and Dhina Suresh, St. Joseph College of Arts and Science for Women, Hosur, India.

Abstract: A cloud computing-based big data sharing system utilizes a storage facility from a cloud service provider to share data with legalized system users. In contrast to accepted solutions, cloud provider stores the shared data in the large data centers outside the trust domain of the data owner, which may set of rules with the problem of data secrets. In this project, I propose a secret sharing group key management protocol (SSGK) to protect the transmissions of data from one place to another place by using secret key with set of rules. Different from the prior works, a group key is used to encrypt the shared data, and a secret sharing scheme is used to distribute the group key in SSGK. The extensive security and performance analyses indicate that our protocol highly minimizes the security and privacy risks of sharing data in cloud storage and saves storage. Also, this project shows that the comparison of encryption and decryption file size and encryption time and decryption file time using SSGK protocols.“
