Mike Jones CEO, Burlywood

Burlywood, Inc. appointed Mike Jones as CEO.

He has been at the forefront of IT innovation. He has spent 40 years helping technology companies progress from ideas to being disruptors in their industry. As CEO, he will focus on go-to-market strategies and industry relationships to maximize company’s solutions’ impact on the industry.

“Information storage and management have been a passion of mine since the early days of my career as an IDMS DBA,” he said. “I’ve been enamored with this technology since the first time I met Tod Earhart and understood the promise Burlywood’s technology holds for the future of enterprise SSDs. It’s a privilege to be a part of the team bringing disruptive innovation to the information storage and management industry.“

He has a track record of building and leading growing organizations at the forefront of innovation in the IT industry.

He started his career at Accenture (formerly Arthur Andersen Administrative Services), working for 12 years with clients across diverse industries. Following Accenture, he was CIO at Corporate Express, which used e-commerce to revolutionize the supply chain and consolidate the industry, growing from a start-up to $4 billion in revenue in 4 years. Next, he was CIO at Level3 Communications as they built the first global IP network, obsolescing existing telecommunications networks. Since Level3, he has been a founder and active investor in numerous technology start-ups, working with customers to build a new paradigm for their industry.
