History 2000: Highest-Paid Storage Executives in Silicon Valley
≠1 Louis Cole, CEO, COB and president of Legato with $15.4 millon compensation
By Jean Jacques Maleval | November 3, 2022 at 2:11 pmEvery year at the same time, The San Jose Mercury News publishes its list of the top 100 highest-paid executives, based this year on 1999 income, among the 147 largest publicly-held firms headquartered in Silicon Valley.
≠1 on the list is Cisco’s CEO. John Chambers, with total compensation of $121.7 million.
What follows is a selection of those on the list who work in the storage industry. Note that software firms Legato and Veritas both boast good showings, while NetApp makes its debut this year. Seagate, as always, is also strongly present.
