Sony Assigned Patent

Sony Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, has been assigned a patent (11,348,615) developed by Anno, Kazuo, Iwama, Takanobu, Tochikubo, Shinya, Nakashio, Eiji, Miyagi, Japa, and Adachi, Naohiro, Tokyo, Japan, for “cartridge memory for magnetic tape cartridge, control method therefor, cartridge, and recording/reproduction system.“

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A cartridge memory is a cartridge memory used in a magnetic tape cartridge, including: an antenna unit, a storage unit that stores data, and a control unit that reads the data from the storage unit in response to a request from a recording/reproduction apparatus, adds an error correction code to the data, and transmits the obtained data via the antenna unit.”
