Embedded World: Exascend Wins Best in Show With PI4 Series Industrial-Grade E1.S SSD Up to 7.7GB

Exascend, Inc. has won the Best in Show award at Embedded World 2022 for its industrial-grade E1.S SSD from its PCIe Gen4 PI4 series.

Facing stiff competition from industrial storage industry peers such as Apacer, Innodisk and Swissbit, the jury from Embedded Computing Design gave the company’s PI4 series E1.S SSD the highest score across a 15-point rubric made up of Design Excellence (5 points), Relative Performance (5 points), and Market Impact/Disruption (5 points).

The PI4 series is the company’s industrial-grade SSD lineup, available in the U.2, M.2 (2280, 2242 and 2230) and E1.S form factors, featuring the firm’s trademark storage technologies and wide temperature-support for operation in -40°F to 185°F (-40°C to 85°C) industrial environments.

Launched in December 2021, the PI4 series E1.S SSD is a rugged SSD in the enterprise E1.S form factor – combining enterprise-class performance and storage density with a thoroughly tough design for extreme environments.
