History (1999): Intel Invested in Router Maker Crossroads Systems

Intel Corp. has invested an undisclosed sum in router maker Crossroads Systems to accelerate the development of routers for Next-Gen I/O (NGIO) technology, a rival of Future I/O Alliance. Adic and Hewlett- Packard are other firms with an equity stake in Crossroads.
