Phison EPR3750 in M.2 2280 and EPR3760 in M.2 22110 Form Factor PCIe Gen4x4 Enterprise Class SSDs Up to 1.92TB

Phison Electronics Corp unveiled. 2 PCIe Gen4x4 Enterprise Class SSDs: the EPR3750 in M.2 2280 form factor and the EPR3760 in M.2 22110 form factor.

The EPR3750 and EPR3760 SSDs are backward compatible in PCIe Gen3 M.2 slots at faster speeds while offering performance enhancements when matched with PCIe Gen4 chipsets. Also, these SSDs provide a faster QoS command execution with enterprise SSD firmware. Workstation and server boot applications require consistent and predictable performance from storage. These firm’s SSDs are to use as boot drives in workstations, servers, and in NAS and RAID environments.

Key features of EPR3750 and EPR3760 SSDs include:

• Controller – Company’s E18 PCIe Gen4x4 NVMe controller for data center applications, the E18DC.

• Customizable and faster – Similar to all of firm’s SSD product offerings, company customizes the EPR3750 and EPR3760 SSDs with customers’ brand name and logo on the drive and the company also make firmware changes to optimize the drive’s performance and power consumption for a range of applications. These SSDs feature performance enhancements when matched with PCIe Gen4 chipsets. The EPR3750 performance specs in PCIe Gen3 and PCIe Gen4 modes are shown below.

• Faster QoS – The EPR3750 and EPR3760 SSDs provide a faster QoS command execution with enterprise SSD firmware that responds quickly to the host PC even while the SSD is attending to background operations.

• Longer term product supply – As the E1.S form factor becomes more popular for enterprise SSDs, other SSD manufacturers may shift their engineering resources away from developing the M.2 form factor, leading to a decline in the number of SSD manufacturers for the 2280 and 22110 products. The EPR3750 and EPR3760 demonstrate the firm’s commitment to its customers by enhancing the M.2 2280 and 221110 form factors with the controller and NAND technologies.
