Index Engines CyberSense V.7.11 Extends Ransomware Corruption Detection Capabilities to Cloud and Additional Formats

Support for AWS cloud, Commvault VMware backups and InterSystems IRIS delivering flexible deployment options and additional data repositories in support of ransomware detection

CyberSense from software company Index Engines, Inc. released support for the Amazon AWS cloud as well as support for scanning of data within Commvault VMware backups and InterSystems IRIS data platform, further empowering organizations to increase their cyber resiliency footprint.

Cybersense Suspected Ransomware 2206

CyberSense supports the detection of data corruption due to a ransomware attack. It utilizes over 200 full-content analytics, combined with ML that has been trained on thousands of variants to provide users with 99.5% level of confidence in accurately detecting corruption.

If a cyberattack is successful, CyberSense post-attack reports will provide the intelligence needed to recover quickly, including providing the location of the last good version of data.

We continue to add support for more platforms as our customers want to validate the integrity of more of their data assets,” said Jim McGann, VP, business development. “Providing confidence that data has integrity and can be used for a rapid recovery is at the heart of CyberSense and why clients are asking for expanded workloads and deployments.”

CyberSense V.7.11 extends capabilities to include:

  • Deliver a cloud version of CyberSense in Amazon AWS that supports the use of elastic storage for optimized performance. Elastic storage allows for rehydration of proprietary formats to scratch disk, such as virtual images, to accelerate the scanning of data.

  • Support indexing of Commvault VMware backups allowing organizations to validate the integrity of the data and ensure it is clean from suspicious activity associated with ransomware attacks.

  • Support for integrity checking of InterSystems IRIS databases to determine if they are clean from cyberattacks and corruption.

Organizations globally have deployed CyberSense as a last line of defense to know when an attack occurs, and cyber criminals have successfully penetrated the data center. It provides the intelligence needed to recover with the last good copies of files and databases.

CyberSense’s stands apart in the market through integrity checks of data via full content scanning of files, databases and core infrastructure. Other solutions that have deployed analytics only check the integrity of the metadata and not the content, making it easy for these products to be circumvented using advanced attack vectors.

CyberSense is sold through partners, including Dell Technologies.

CyberSense version 7.11 is available, however features and timing of the delivery may be rolled out on individual partner schedules.
