Function Authorizations for IBM DS8900F (machine type 9031) all-flash family are available as 8xxx feature numbers. IBM DS8000 series Function Authorizations establish the extent of IBM authorization for use of the licensed functions on the IBM DS8900F family.
IBM DS8000 series Function Authorizations are for billing purposes only and establish the extent of authorization for use of the licensed functions on IBM DS8900F (IBM 5341).
Licensed functions available for 9031 Model FF8:
- Base function license (feature numbers 81xx)
- Copy Services license (feature numbers 82xx)
- z-synergy Services License (feature numbers 83xx)
- Copy Services Manager on Hardware Management Console (HMC) (feature number 84xx) (1)
(1) Machine type 9031 Model FF8 includes one year of warranty.
Client is required to purchase Copy Services Manager on HMC license through Passport Advantage before licensed can be activated.
Key requirements
All announced features and functions are supported on the DS8000 series and require DS8000 LMC 8.9.30.xx.xx (bundle version 89.30.xx.xx), or later.
