Qnap Inaugurates German European HQs Building In Willich, Close to Düsseldorf

Qnap Systems, Inc. celebrates the inauguration of its European HQs building in Willich, Germany, close to the city of Düsseldorf.

The building serves as its European head office, logistics hub and service center, boosting its operational capacity and reaffirming its commitment to the long-term development of its European operations. The building will be operated by Qnap GmbH responsible for these European operations.

The building is a 3-story construction consisting of office space, training facilities, a warehouse with a loading area, and a servicing area with electrostatic discharge (ESD) flooring. A Wi-Fi 6 network is available throughout the building with fiber optic backbones and additional wired data ports. A security system is installed around the perimeter of the building. With this investment of over €11 million, Qnap is able to consolidate its several European locations under the same roof, boosting efficiency for a better user experience across its distribution partners, users and employees.

“It was really impressive to be able to watch Qnap’s new building as it ‘grows’ so quickly – and as mayor, I’m of course very happy that we, as the city of Willich, can be the proud location of such a promising, renowned and quality-conscious company,” said Christian Pakusch, mayor, city of Willich.

During the construction, local authorities and many suppliers offered their assistance to expedite the completion of the new building amid Covid-19 and the overall material shortage.
