Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS), announced a Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) solution that gives customers the flexibility to scale storage capacity with the comfort of predictable monthly costs, via standard per-terabyte pricing.

The service offers a range of competitively priced application-aligned performance tiers, multi- or single-tenant options, encryption at rest by default, and is backed by a 99.999% infrastructure availability service level agreement.

Customers can contract from 1TB upwards and burst up/down into their flexible, usage-based storage overhead as demand fluctuates.

Available at all company’s data centers in North America and Europe, this STaaS is for organizations with diverse workload requirements that want to avoid long-term contracts or commitments, or simply want to outsource storage procurement and management.
