History (1998): Kim Edwards, CEO of Iomega, Top Paid Storage Executive in 1997

Compensated total of $13.9 million

Kim Edwards IomegaKim Edwards, 50, president and CEO of Iomega was the highest-paid executive in the storage industry last year, compensated a total of $13.9 million in 1997, according to Electronic Business (June 1998).

 

 

The total includes salary, bonus, compensation, etc.

Edwards ranked 10th out of the 50 highest earning executives in the US electronic industry.

Edwards hasn’t worked for Iomega since last March.

Could money have anything to do with it? Still within the top 50, ranked at 25th place is Grant Saviers, president, CEO and COB of Adaptec, with $9.3 million, followed at 29th place by Chuck Haggerty, president, CEO and COB of Western Digital with $8.5 million.
