Phison: Fiscal January 2022 Financial Results

Phison Electronics Corp. announced its operating results for January 202 with consolidated revenue of NT$5.419 billion, an increase of 34% Y/Y, a record high for the same period.

Total shipments of PCIe SSD controllers in January increased Y/Y by more than 110%, and the total shipments of industrial-grade controllers increased by more than 120%, and the annual cumulative total memory bit shipments (total bits) also increased by nearly 26%, all hitting a record high for the same period.

K.S.Pua, CEO, explained that with the efforts of all colleagues, a record revenue of NT$62.557 billion was achieved in 2021.

Due to the challenges of tight wafer foundry capacity, insufficient NAND supply, and rising prices of upstream and downstream raw materials and suppliers in 2021, the manufacturer has also prepared resources in advance to meet the unlimited demand of the NAND industry driven by the trend of digital transformation in 2022.

In addition, especially in the high-end application market, it will launch a new enterprise SSD storage solution and PCIe Gen5 SSD controller this year, and will continue to build leading fleet in the high-end storage application market.

Pua then emphasized that 2022 will be a year for his company to grow and thrive again. Through 5+5 growth strategy, it will penetrate into various NAND storage application fields in an all-round way. On the basis of Phison’s flexible business model and customized capabilities, it continues to strengthen its R&D capacity to meet the demands of global customers.

Looking forward to 2022, Phison will also stand firm on the current operating foundation and continue to deepen the transformation of high-end NAND storage applications, hoping to create another peak in revenue and profit.
