Nvidia Quantum IB Networking Solutions by Exxact

Exxact Corporation will soon offer a new line of Nvidia Quantum IB solutions that enables istandard networking, clustering, storage, and management protocols to operate over a single ‘one-wire’ converged network.

The Nvidia Quantum-2 IB networking platform enables performance, broad accessibility, and security for cloud computing and supercomputing data centers.

What makes Quantum-2 stand out from the previous gen is the new switch that delivers port density with 64 ports of 400Gb/s (or 128 ports of 200Gb/s) connectivity.

It also features 2 updated networking endpoint options: the Nvidia BlueField-3 data processing unit (DPU) and the ConnectX-7 network adapter. ConnectX-7 doubles the data rate of its predecessor, as well as increases performance benefits with RDMA, GPUDirect Storage, GPUDirect RDMA, and In-Network Computing. BlueField-3 offers 16x64-bit Arm CPUs to offload, accelerate and isolate the data center infrastructure stack, which accelerates application performance, enhances data center security, streamlines operations and reduces TCO.

Also updated is Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol v3 (SHARPv3), which allows learning training operations to be offloaded and accelerated by the networking hardware, resulting in 32x more acceleration for AI applications compared with the previous version.

Nvidia Ethernet Networking is also available with SmartNICs that utilize BlueField-2 with up to 200Gb/s of Ethernet connectivity for modern GPU-accelerated workloads, Ethernet switches with speeds from 10 to 400Gb/s, and LinkX Ethernet direct attach copper (DAC) cables, active optical cables (AOCs), and optical transceivers that meet or exceed all of the IEEE 802.3xx industry standards for 1/10/25/50/100Gb/s products.
