Data in motion storage

LyteLoop Technologies, LLC, Great Neck, NY, has been assigned a patent (11,190,858) developed by Damaghi, Daniel M., Great Neck, NY, Harlev, Ohad, Closter, NJ, Litvin, Ariel, Great Neck, NY, Willner, Alan Eli, Los Angeles, CA, Barak, Naftaly, Petah-Tikva, Israel, McManamon, Paul Francis, Dayton, OH, and McGuffin, Asher, Lexington, MA, for data in motion storage system and method.

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A data storage system is disclosed that includes a recirculating loop storing data in motion. The data may be carried by a signal via the loop including one or more satellites or other vessels that return, for example by reflection or regeneration, the signals through the loop. The loop may also include a waveguide, for example an optical fiber, or an optical cavity. Signal multiplexing may be used to increase the contained data. The signal may be amplified at each roundtrip and sometimes a portion of the signal may be regenerated.
