Delivering storage and BDR solution running Windows Server IoT 2019
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 5, 2021 at 2:02 pmBuffalo Americas, Inc. along with NovaBACKUP Corp. announced the NovaBACKUP BDR Essentials bundle, a BDR appliance based on the TeraStation WS5020, a NAS running Windows Server IoT 2019 as the OS.
Designed to help smaller businesses build an extensive BDR strategy to combat the recent proliferation of cyberthreats, the NovaBACKUP BDR Essentials bundle comes in a 4-bay desktop form factor with 8, 16, or 32TB, and is available with a low monthly subscription fee instead of one-time payment.
“With cyberattacks on the rise, a DR plan is essential for all businesses, regardless of their size. As a vendor of the Market’s Most Secure NAS, Buffalo has long sought to provide a means for small businesses with limited IT budgets to enable a professional BDR plan. Therefore, we are pleased to team up with NovaBACKUP in offering a professional turn-key BDR appliance at a low monthly price so small businesses can enjoy the same data protection that enterprise-sized companies do,” said Arata Nakamura, CEO, Buffalo Americas.
The BDR Essentials Bundle delivers a full storage and BDR solution at a competitive, entry-level price point while offering the same Buffalo hardware quality and software experience from NovaBACKUP.
“We’re excited to be working in partnership with Buffalo Americas and their Buffalo TeraStation WS5020 to introduce a NovaBACKUP BDR appliance to resellers and MSPs, empowering them to provide a complete end to end data protection and cyberthreat security solution to support their small business customers. These days spending has been reduced, but data security is not an area to be cutting corners and nobody wants to be the center of the next ransomware news story. NovaBACKUP BDR makes complete protection feasible with an industry unique solution at an optional no or low entry point, along with flexible license and pricing options to provide an enterprise experience that adapts seamlessly into recurring service plans, tough budgets and highly regulated industries,” said Mike Andrews, CEO, NovaBACKUP.
The Windows Server IoT 2019 OS provides integration into a Windows environment as well as Microsoft-compatible services and software. It also comes with its own native backup and security features, such as data de-dupe to reduce backup file size, Hyper-V for low-cost quick recovery, and various encryption features to combat cyberthreats, especially ransomware.
The BDR Essentials bundle will also come with its native backup and recovery software suite for Windows systems, VMs, and SQL and Exchange. NovaBACKUP will also provide remote central monitoring, hosted cloud storage, and US-based support from industry experts. The NovaBACKUP BDR Essentials bundle has hardware support from Buffalo and software support from NovaBACKUP itself, and comes with a 3-year warranty.
