The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A system may dynamically provision an underlying storage implementation for cloud storage, such as cloud block storage services. They system allows for deferral of the storage provisioning process to the time at which a tenant actually requests a storage space.”
The patent application was filed on January 3, 2020 (16/734,019).
