History (1997): CD-R Market to Increase at Least 150%

The market for write-once CD-R drives and media is expanding at a very fast rate, according to an analysis by the Japan Recording Media Industries.

The demand for both drive and media for 1997 are estimated to be at least 150% larger than the impressive level achieved in 1996.
