Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP announced financial results for the third quarter, ended July 31, 2021.

Global revenue reached $6.9 billion, up 3% sequentially and 1% from the prior-year period.

Representing 17% of total sales, storage revenue was $1.176 billion in 3FQ21, up 4% from 3FQ20 (or up 1% when adjusted for currency) and 1% Y/Y, after quarterly decrease of 2% and 5% in 1FQ21 and 2FQ21, respectively.

With respect to Pointnext operational services, including Nimble services, revenue grew yearly for the third consecutive quarter as reported with both order and revenue growth expected for FY21.

Operating profit margin for storage was at $178 million, up 10 basis points Y/Y, offset by continued investments in cloud data services and up 15.1% compared to 15.0% from the prior-year period, or up 3% from the one-year ago period.

Strength in software-defined solutions, including Nimble, up 10% from 3FQ20 when adjusted for currency, with strong momentum in dHCI growing double-digits. AFA grew 30% led by Primera.
