HighPoint RU1388C PCIe 3.0 x16 HBA With 8 USB 3.2 Ports

HighPoint Technologies, Inc. has unveiled the RU1388C a fast USB connectivity solution with 8-port USB 3.2 HBA with dedicated 10Gb/s per-port transfer bandwidth.

Its 8 independent USB-C ports are backed by a PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface. This ‘Per-Port Performance Architecture’ ensures each hosted USB device can operate at maximum throughput, simultaneously, without saturating the available PCIe bus bandwidth or sapping system resources.

8x dedicated 10Gb/s USB 3.2 ports
The RocketU 1388C is a fast USB controller card. Each of the 8 independent Type-C ports are powered by a dedicated USB 3.2 10Gb/s IC, and PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface to ensure each individual USB port can deliver 1,000MB/s of transfer bandwidth at all times, even in cases where each port is occupied and under heavy load.

Dedicated USB 3.2 controllers provide independent device paths and power delivery
The RocketU 1388C’s 8 dedicated USB 3.2 controllers enable each port to work independently and deliver up to 7.5W of power for device operation or charging purposes. The PCB layout provides a dedicated USB connection pathway for each port; hosted USB devices can operate at peak performance, without the risk of interference by neighboring USB connections.

Built for professional data acquisition solutions
RocketU 1388C HBA can be integrated into workstation and server environments designed to host professional media and industrial applications. The 8 independent 1,000MB/s USB ports and PCIe 3.0 x16 host interface can accommodate a range of high-speed data acquisition solutions, including imaging and capture solutions, security systems, and media archiving.

Universal compatibility
RocketU 1388C controllers can be installed into any computing platform with a PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 x16 slot. The 8 independent USB Type-C ports support any USB 2.0/3.0/3.1/3.2 device, including USB HDDs and SSD’s, cameras, printers, capture devices and peripherals.

xHCI compliant: Driverless installation
The controller is a plug-and-play USB controller, and is supported natively by all modern OS platforms including Windows 10 and Server 2019, macOS Big Sur, current distributions of Linux, and VM Platforms such as VMware.
