Intevac (Santa Clara, CA), maker of sputtering systems for HDD manufacturing, has acquired San Jose Technology (San Jose, CA) for about $3. 7 million in cash.

The latter is a supplier of lubricate thin-film disk systems for the disk drive industry, and will now become a division of Intevac under the continued management of founder Bill Wiley.
