Qnap Half-Width Rackmount QSW-M2108R-2C 2.5GbE and 10GbE L2 Web Managed Switch Series

Qnap Systems, Inc. released the QSW-M2108R-2C rackmount Layer 2 Web managed switches.

Featuring 2.5GbE, 10GbE and practical Layer 2 management functions, the QSW-M2108R-2C enables bandwidth utilization for an entry-level network management solution.

With its half-width design, it is a storage solution for server rooms in small businesses and organizations.

It comes with two 10GbE SFP+/RJ45 combo ports and 8×2.5GbE RJ45 ports (10 ports in total) and is compatible with 10GbE and NBASE-T technologies to support 5 speeds (10Gb/s, 5G/s, 2.5Gb, 1Gb/s and 100Mb/s) using existing Cat 5e and 6a cables. It also provides Layer 2 management functions (such as LACP, VLAN, ACL and LLDP) via a Web GUI for efficient bandwidth controls and enhanced security. With a half-width rackmount design, 2 QSW-M2108R-2C can be installed in a 1U rack space for physical space utilization and tidy cabling.

The QSW-M2108R-2C is one of the few web-managed switches that supports the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and is compliant with IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and IEEE802.3x Flow Control in full-duplex mode. Users can deploy small/medium-scale networks that support expansion, redundancy, and loop prevention, while avoiding packet loss from unparalleled bandwidth, and reducing power consumption for low-speed and inactive connections. With its cooling system, the switch ensures high-speed network performance while minimizing distracting background noise.
