History (1995): Grant Saviers CEO, Adaptec

F. Grant Saviers, 50, who has been president and COO of Adaptec (Milpitas, CA) since August 1992, has been promoted to CEO of the company.

He replaces John G. Adler, 58, who will continue as COB.

Before joining Adaptec, Saviers held several senior-level management positions at Digital Equipment.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a masters in computer science from Case Institute of Technology.
