Statement of direction: IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Microsoft Azure and Safeguarded Copy for the IBM FlashSystem family and IBM SAN Volume Controller

IBM Corp. intends to deliver an updated version of its Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud that will be available for use on Microsoft Azure’s infrastructure-as-a- service.

It intends to deliver a Safeguarded Copy function in Spectrum Virtualize for its FlashSystem family and SAN Volume Controller, similar to what is currently available for DS8900.

This function is designed to help protect copies of data in the event of a cyberattack.
