Ambulance Amsterdam Opts for iland

iland Internet Solutions Corporation announced that Ambulance Amsterdam is using its DRaaS with Veeam to secure sensitive medical data.

Serving a bustling metropolitan area, the end user guarantees acute ambulance care and ordered ambulance transport in the regions of Amsterdam-Amstelland, Zaanstreek-Waterland and Kennemerland (Haarlemmermeer) in Nederland. It works closely with the university medical centers AMC-VU, clinical hospitals, and other partners in care and safety.

“Ambulance Amsterdam has been especially busy responding to calls during Covid-19, and they are readying for a second wave,” said Martin Salazar, system administrator, Ambulance Amsterdam.

Data is mission critical to its business, and it’s imperative for to access and protect data such as emergency call recordings and patient records.

Salazar and his team had a previous relationship with Veeam, and was looking for a cloud partner that would be compatible with the software company, to allow for a smooth transition. Their sense of urgency in replacing an outdated infrastructure was heightened at the onset of the pandemic.

“DRaaS appeared to be the solution to eliminate the cost, ongoing maintenance and cumbersome RFP process,” said Salazar.
