Raidix ERA V3.2 RAID Software for NVMe and SAS/SATA SSD Storage Solutions

With support of DKMS framework for ERA drive auto-reassembling, more OSs and file systems supported, level RAID N+M, possibility to increase created RAID's volume capacity or to change its level when adding new drives, and possibility to tune buffering time for write operations.

The ERA V3.2 RAID software from Raidix allows to create a RAID from NVMe and SAS/SATA SSD for the demanding enterprise-grade tasks, ensuring fast access to data.

Features make ERA 3.2 easier to maintain and more suitable for operating in large server infrastructures. The update helps users to employ ERA as a storage array for the most demanding data center needs. Also, functionality comprises a new RAID level, widened OS compatibility and additional options for advanced software usage.

What’s new in ERA 3.2:

  • Support of DKMS framework for ERA drive auto-reassembling. Thanks to this feature, there is an automatic rebuild of ERA after manual or automatic kernel updates.

  • More OSs and file systems are supported, including those only compatible with block devices with a sector size of 512B. The popular Linux distributions and kernels are supported as well.

  • New level – RAID N+M, which allows to create a RAID array with a specific number of drives (up to 32) for checksum allocation.

  • Possibility to increase a created RAID’s volume capacity or to change its level when adding new drives. It allows to improve RAID reliability on the fly with zero downtime and no interrupts.

  • Possibility to tune buffering time for write operations. Longer buffering time enables to reduce the number of operations of data flushing to the drive. It improves overall system performance when sequential workload patterns are applied.

Besides, ERA 3.2 keeps all features of previous releases:

  • Enables to utilize up to 97% of hardware performance potential.

  • Delivers up to 10 400 000 IO/s.

  • Ensures high performance in mixed workload mode, and minimal latency in a recovery mode.

  • Supports a variety of RAID levels.
