The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A frontend client system and associated frontend method perform processes for backing up encrypted data in backend storage, such that a frontend client can perform the backup without exposing the encrypted data, using the client-controlled keys, and without long running server-side processes.”
The patent application was filed on August 29, 2019 (16/555,541).
