JMR/ICS Expanding Media MASSter Duplication Systems Line With Use of NVMe M.2 SSD

JMR/ICS Electronics, Inc. is expanding further its Media MASSter (MM) product line with next-gen, cost-effective models designed to handle the newer, small computers using NVMe M.2 system drives, and more.

The NVMe M.2 drive technology requires a direct connection to a computer’s PCIe bus. Cable-based adapters and external carriers are prone to wire breakage, introduction of EMI/RFI noise and unreliable connector mating contact due to potential mishandling during imaging and processing.

The Media MASSter NVMe M.2 products connect directly to the source and target drives, which are contained safely and securely on the Media MASSter unit in locking trays, reducing the likelihood of data R/W errors during large capacity SSD wiping/cloning operations.

Native NVMe M.2 duplication support
In addition to SATA/eSATA/USB drive duplication and wiper/sanitizer functionality, the Media MASSter NVMe M.2 and M.2 PRO I.T and Forensic versions are readily available and includes the native capability to safely and securely clone or image up to four Next Gen Form Factor (NGFF) NVMe M.2 drives without the use of adapters or added costly accessories. And with the MediaMASSter M.2 PRO versions of the IT and forensics versions, multiple other drive types can be investigated and securely duplicated as well.

The company also offers M.2 NVMe secure imaging and wiping in several other models, in both IT and forensic acquisition versions.The smaller Media MASSter 102 PRO with quad-channel NVMe plug-in option accommodates up to 4 NVMe M.2 drives; the Image MASSter 4000 G3 M.2 PCIe is a larger benchtop/laboratory unit that accommodates up to 8 NVMe M.2 drives; the SOLO-5 Enterprise M.2 kit accommodates 2 NVMe M.2 drives, and these units all work with other drive types as well.

Weighing 3.5lbs, the portable Media MASSter NVMe M.2 provides cloning/wiping speeds up to 94.5GB/mn, as well as a robust set of features for duplication, functionality and ease of use. These units are fully self-contained, portable, lightweight and include a large, user-friendly, touch-panel color display.
