Ajay Singh Chief Product Officer, Pure Storage

He will report to chairman and CEO, Charles Giancarlo.
In this role, he will further the company’s focus to create a product portfolio that delivers customer experience, contributes to growth, and extends leadership in data and storage management.

He will have direct responsibility for all of Pure’s business units as well as the global alliances team focused on developing partnerships with important technology partners.
He brings to Pure more than 25 years of experience in software and services with an extensive background leading as-a-Service and DevOps teams. He joins the company from VMware, where he led the company’s transformation to the cloud as the GM of the cloud management business unit.
Prior to that, he was SVP and GM of Hewlett-Packard‘s IT operations management software business. He also served as CEO of Elastic Intelligence, an infrastructure platform-as-a-service company that was acquired by Intuit. He founded and then sold ProactiveNet to BMC. During his tenure at BMC, he held multiple executive roles and ran the service assurance, application, and DevOps business units.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India.
