Toshiba Canvio Gaming 2.5-Inch Up to 4TB USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable HDD for Gamers

Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH is leveraging its  expertise in storage technology to provide enjoyable and compelling gaming experiences.

Through its Canvio Gaming HDDs, the company is able to address gamers’ growing external storage demands, presenting them with compact and portable models customised for gaming that feature capacities of up to 4TB ^[1] (with 1TB and 2TB versions also available).

Delivering a 5Gb/s ^[2] (maximum) data transfer, via USB 3.2 Gen 1 interfaces, these HDDs support fast loading, so time is not wasted getting stuck in the gaming action. Sleek, stylish and lightweight (the 4TB version weighing 210 grams), these units offer plug-and-play operation.

Canvio Gaming is compatible with leading game consoles (PlayStation, Xbox) and Windows PCs and Mac computers ^[3]. Gamers will have the ability to pick up where they have left off when moving games over to next gen consoles. With convenient use across multiple gaming devices, users can transfer data between different platforms.

The 4TB Canvio Gaming model packs in enough storage space for up to 100 games ^[4] . Users can compile more expansive game libraries, and will have a choice of playing options at their fingertips. Time does not need to be spent on deciding which games to delete to make room for the latest releases, freeing up more time for gaming fun instead.

Thanks to Canvio Gaming’s portability, users can have access to their avatars and all their previous game achievements when visiting friends or attending gaming parties. It is a reliable storage solution, which minimises the risk of past triumphs being lost. The customised firmware features an ‘Always-On’ functionality that maximises gameplay responsiveness, preventing user frustration.

Supplied in a black casing, two different form factors are offered; with the one and 2TB versions having 80×111x13.5mm dimensions and the 4TB version having 80x111x19.5mm dimensions.
