History (1993): Rimage Acquires Datapath

Producer of entry level diskette duplicators

Rimage Corp. (Minneapolis, MN), a manufacturer of diskette duplication and diskette finishing equipment has acquired the operations of Datapath Technologies, Inc. (Fremont, CA), maker and seller of entry level diskette duplicators.

Rimage had revenues in 1992 of $13.3 million.

Datapath’s revenues in 1992 were $1.7 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rimage will pay a short-term royalty payment to Datapath stockholders based upon the ongoing success of the Datapath sales.

Other recent announcements from Rimage include the October 1993 acquisition of Alf Products , Inc. (Denver, CO) and a strategic alliance formed with disk analyzer A.M.E. ltd. (Dublin, Ireland.)

Rimage has a European headquarter in Germany.
