EMC Corp. (Hopkinton, MA) has agreed to purchase Magna Computer Corp. (Salem, OH), specialized in IBM’s AS/400 compatible tape drives.

Note: As of today, EMC (acquired by Dell) had bought 84 companies, a record in the WW storage industry.
