FalconStor Support and Migration Program

FalconStor Software, Inc. announced a support and migration program for IBM ProtecTIER customers.

With IBM i and BRMS support and integration, FalconStor StorSafe is a backup and archive solution offering enterprise BRMS integration and support, as well as IBM COS integration.

“With Covid-19, the normal orderly end-of-life retirement of IBM ProtecTIER has been complicated,” said Todd Brooks, CEO. “There can be practical and legal issues for customers if IBM i data is not consistently backed up and archived. FalconStor has experience of more than 20 years with the IBM platform and has experienced IBM service and support staff to help these customers.“

StorSafe is a long-term data retention and reinstatement solution that integrates with IBM i, BRMS, and IBM COS, as well as other enterprise backup solutions and storage technologies, including object storage.

The flexibility will allow IBM i and ProtecTIER customers a transition from ProtecTIER to StorSafe, providing organizations the ability to maintain their participation within the IBM ecosystem by sending deduplicated backups directly to IBM on-premises storage systems and IBM COS for protection and resiliency.
