Federal Agency Deploys Pavilion Hyperparallel Flash Array
To accelerate workflows in IBM Spectrum Scale environment
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 13, 2020 at 2:04 pmPavilion Data Systems, Inc. announced that a Federal Agency has expanded its deployment of the Pavilion Hyperparallel flash Array (HFA) to accelerate workflows in their IBM Spectrum Scale environment.
This agency is part of a major federal organization tasked with safeguarding American lives and property through the use of advanced analytics technology. The HFA enables to perform this critical task faster, while reducing the cost and complexity of their Spectrum Scale environment.
This demanding environment leverages Apache Spark and Nvidia GPUs to analyze vast amounts of data using AI-based algorithms to detect and eliminate threats. The HFA enables them to continue this important function at a fraction of the cost and footprint of other solutions.
In addition, the HFA reduces the management overhead associated with complex storage environments while freeing significant compute resources that can be applied to critical application processing.
“Our client’s workflows are critical to our nation’s security and they have demanding performance requirements,” said Michael Tanner, regional VP and head of the federal business, Pavilion. “The Pavilion Hyperparallel Flash Array enabled the organization to meet its stringent performance requirements, while simultaneously reducing the cost and complexity of its storage deployment.“
Pavilion has multiple deployments in the federal, state, local, education and research vertical.
