NHL Hockey Team Dallas Stars Partnering With Acronis

Acronis International GmbH  announced a partnership with the Dallas Stars, a professional National Hockey League (NHL) team.

Under the multi-year agreement, it will provide cyber protection solutions designed to safeguard data and optimize data workflows to help the team perform at their best.

When the Covid-19 lockdown placed the NHL season on hold, the Dallas Stars IT infrastructure continued its day-to-day operations, supporting its staff working remotely. Moving forward, Acronis’ cyber protection solutions will protect over 190TB of the team’s workloads hosted on hundreds of their workstations and Microsoft Office 365 seats, ensuring that their employees working remotely remain #CyberFit during these challenging times.

These technology and solutions are designed around a principle known as the 5 vectors of cyber protection, namely Safety, Accessibility, Privacy, Authenticity, and Security (SAPAS). This ensures that data, applications, and systems are secure and easily accessible for smooth daily operations.

Traditional backup usually involves storing data in physical drives and are stored off-network. However, this makes the backup process long and tedious, making it infeasible to perform such a complicated procedure on a frequent basis. The company ensures that backups are performed automatically, and provide minimal disruptions to day-to-day operations.

Acronis Cyber Protect, an AI-powered integration of data protection and cyber security, is also utilized to keep a 24/7 lookout for cyber threats.
