To protect 190TB of workloads hosted on hundreds of workstations and Microsoft Office 365 seats
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 8, 2020 at 2:11 pmAcronis International GmbH announced a partnership with the Dallas Stars, a professional National Hockey League (NHL) team.
Under the multi-year agreement, it will provide cyber protection solutions designed to safeguard data and optimize data workflows to help the team perform at their best.
When the Covid-19 lockdown placed the NHL season on hold, the Dallas Stars IT infrastructure continued its day-to-day operations, supporting its staff working remotely. Moving forward, Acronis’ cyber protection solutions will protect over 190TB of the team’s workloads hosted on hundreds of their workstations and Microsoft Office 365 seats, ensuring that their employees working remotely remain #CyberFit during these challenging times.
These technology and solutions are designed around a principle known as the 5 vectors of cyber protection, namely Safety, Accessibility, Privacy, Authenticity, and Security (SAPAS). This ensures that data, applications, and systems are secure and easily accessible for smooth daily operations.
Traditional backup usually involves storing data in physical drives and are stored off-network. However, this makes the backup process long and tedious, making it infeasible to perform such a complicated procedure on a frequent basis. The company ensures that backups are performed automatically, and provide minimal disruptions to day-to-day operations.
Acronis Cyber Protect, an AI-powered integration of data protection and cyber security, is also utilized to keep a 24/7 lookout for cyber threats.
“We are thrilled to have Acronis join the Dallas Stars as our provider of cyber protection solutions.” said Matt Keller, director IT, Dallas Stars. “Now, more than ever, it is important that our organization’s data be fully protected from modern cyber threats. We know that Acronis cyber protection will keep our data safe and improve our team’s performance.“
Acronis founder and CEO, Serguei Beloussov, said: “Acronis continues to set the standard in cyber protection. Our technology is perfectly suited for helping the world’s leading sports teams protect their data, applications and systems in any environment, during any time. We are proud to become an official partner of the Dallas Stars and look forward to a successful partnership with the team.“
