Backup Everything Launches Grassroots Data Protection Initiative

The ongoing pandemic has left many clubs, organisations, charities and associations who have created so many communities for decades across the whole country fearful of their future and survival.

Backup Everything Ltd. (BE) launches the Grassroots Data Protection (GRDP) initiative that will provide free (or at cost) cloud backup services to those in need so at least this aspect of their outgoings is covered without any worry.

Saaher Muzafer, CEO, says: “We are in unprecedented times and as an avid football and sports fan, it is only right we try and give something back to grassroots organisations to help protect their data from their Servers and PC’s for free or if larger volumes then at cost with no margin for us.“

Anyone using existing cloud backup providers can migrate over plus setup, support and no commitment policies will be given without charge. The offer is open to any football related organisations however we will not say no for anyone outside of this field and in need of help. Data is stored in ISO 27001 certified Data Centres with 256 AES encryption used for transfer of data at flight and at rest.

Muzafer continues: “There is no motivation for making profit or having any financial gain from this unique initiative. Anyone having up to a few 100GB’s will be given a free service. For customers with TB’s of data, then we will assess how much we can give for free and the rest we will give at cost. At the end of the day we still have a business to run so we need to be fair and transparent to all parties and not end up giving a blanket free for all and then not being able to sustain later.“

The cloud backup solution provided by the company is an automated process, where the user can select what they want to protect in some steps making the backups run daily or to any schedule.
