IBM Managed Services for Red Hat OpenStack enables clients to adopt a predefined framework based on a set toolchain for monitoring and managing the OpenStack platform and its underlying hardware infrastructure, which can be adopted for new and existing OpenStack deployments. This framework can be used to support other distributions of OpenStack for providing basic OpenStack operations; however, upgrade, backup, and recovery procedures will have to be custom driven based on the specific distribution and version of OpenStack.
