StorOne, Inc., announced Chris Bowen has joined the company as VP sales.
In this newly-created position, he will lead the expanding relationships with go-to-market partners, major customers, and other industry channels that deliver the S1 Enterprise Storage Platform.
He has nearly 20 years of sales and business development experience for storage technology leaders. Most recently he was VP of WW sales for Avere System from 2010 to 2018 until it was acquired by Microsoft. From 2018 until joining StorONE, he was VP sales at Iguazio, a data science software platform. Earlier, he was one the original account executives at StorWize where he worked with StorONE CEO and co-founder Gal Naor from 2006 to 2010 until it was acquired by IBM.
“The market has evolved to more demanding applications, more performance, and more data to manage, yet users still struggle with the runaway costs of providing storage infrastructure that meets the new requirements,” he said. “StorONE is a game-changing technology that extracts maximum efficiency out of hardware and media, and the result is a radical transformation of acquisition, operating and expansion costs for common deployments like flash, cloud or hybrid infrastructures.”
“Chris has a track record of identifying innovative storage technologies and building sales organizations to bring those solutions to the marketplace,” said Naor. “Chris and I share a background of introducing highly relevant modern storage technologies to the market, and I know he has the same enthusiasm for exceeding customer expectations of what a product can do.“
In his new position, Bowen will lead and expand the StorONE sales team. Because of firm’s 100% channel focus, he will also lead the process of identifying new channel partner and work with them on joint opportunities.
