Diaway Keila Powered by Excelero NVMesh Software
For storage performance for AI/ML/deep learning and HPC workloads
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 1, 2020 at 3:00 pmDiaway OÜ announced a strategic partnership with Excelero Storage Ltd. and the launch of Keila powered by Excelero NVMesh.
It is a full-fledged, 100% SDS solution built for performance computing workloads including both AI/ML/deep learning and data warehouses and containers.
Keila powered by NVMesh includes pre-installed Excelero NVMesh Elastic NVMe software and a complete infrastructure package.
It comes with a building block of 4 nodes, where each node is powered by AMD EPYC Rome CPU supporting PCI Gen4 and Mellanox ConnectX-6 dual 100GbE NIC, as well as 6 Western Digital’s Ultrastar DC SN640 NVMe drives. The company’s bundle includes a redundant stack of Mellanox 100GbE switches as well as complete cabling options. Essential to this solution are a set of professional value-added services such as rack and stack, NBD onsite support, colocation, and IP transit.
Use cases that benefit from Keila powered by NVMesh:
-
Accelerated AI workflows by the elimination of storage bottlenecks;
-
High-performance database storage (SQL, NoSQL, DBaaS);
-
Low-latency container storage (Kubernetes, Docker, Mesosphere);
-
Local burst buffer (storage layer between RAM and persistent storage)
Keila powered by NVMesh answers NVMe-oF demand by solving one a big challenges in computing. By combining software and hardware elements, this storage solution is able to reach impressive performance levels.
The global NVMe market size is projected to grow from $44.6 billion in 2020 to $163.5 billion by 2025; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 29.7% from 2020 to 2025 and the majority of this market will be shared between companies providing low latency SDS solutions capable of the fast handling of growing data volumes.
“Technologies evolve fast and the growing scale now includes industrial IoT, ML, AI, mobile applications, and cloud. While NVMe is already a default for high-performance storage workloads for most modern servers, there is still a vacuum of scale-out NVMe storage products on the market. We designed Diaway Keila as the ultimate solution, which unites the perfectly bundled hardware, networking equipment, software, and essential datacenter options to deliver turnkey datacenter scale-out NVMe SDS infrastructure,” said Dmitrii Liautov, managing partner, Daiway.
“By designing Diaway Keila powered by Excelero NVMesh solution with Western Digital Ultrastar NVMe series SSDs, Diaway unlocks native NVMe performance, great scalability, and unprecedented attractive costs per IO/s across the entire TCO term,” said Madars Danilevics, business development manager, EMEAI, Western Digital Corp.
“By building upon Excelero’s NVMesh storage software, Diaway has created a solution that’s perfect for today’s demanding AI, machine language, and deep learning workloads,” said Lior Gal, CEO and co-founder, Excelero. “By leveraging the latest gen of Western Digital hardware, Diaway Keila is able to provide our customers with the performance, agility, and scalability they need to succeed. We’re delighted to work in partnership with the Diaway team.“
Keila powered by Excelero NVMesh is available WW on the company’s product page.
