The Active Archive Alliance announced a new report, Active Archive and the State of the Industry 2020, which highlights the increased demand for new data management strategies as well as benefits and use cases for active archive solutions.

As a result of its increasing value, today’s data demands an intelligent archive solution that leverages the advanced capabilities of data movement technology and scale-out hardware. New applications, such as the IoT with billions of nodes and autonomous vehicles, are fueling the demand for more intelligent active archives.
