Synology Launches 2/4-Bay Plus Series DS220+, DS420+, DS720+, and DS920+NAS

Synology Inc. launched a generation of 2- and 4-bay Plus Series NAS, designed as a centralized data management solution for both home and business environments.

Turbocharged experience
Up to 133% faster in web site responsiveness and over 15% improvement in compute-tasks, the Plus series enables to get things done faster and more efficiently⁽¹⁾. Two M.2 NVMe slots ⁽²⁾ enable accelerated I/O performance, especially in multi-user environments.

Data protection for everything
The company’s storage solutions are not only designed to fulfill data management requirements, but also centralize backups for Microsoft Windows PCs and servers, VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V VMs, and Microsoft 365 and G Suite accounts using our Active Backup suite.

Build your own private cloud

Responsiveness improvement measured by Web PHP response efficiency and compute performance improvement measured using file indexing in Synology Drive and photo indexing in Synology Moments. Performance gains may vary depending on the environment, type of usage, and configuration.
⁽²⁾ Two M.2 NVMe 2280 cache slots are available on DS920+, DS720+, and DS420+.
