History (1992): Chuck Haggerty President and COO, Western Digital

Charles A. (Chuck) Haggerty has been named president and COO of Western Digital Corp. (Irvine, CA), reporting to Roger W. Johnson, chairman and CEO.

Haggerty, 50, is a 28-year IBM veteran, who most recently served as VP of WW OEM storage marketing for Big Blue.

Kathryn A. Braun, executive VP, was supposed to be the ≠2 of WD.

This US firm is more and more concentrating on disk drives that now represent 80% of its revenues and has sold to Future Domain its SCSI product technology
